Mercy is the hospital in Cedar Rapids that got flooded. They formed a line in the flood waters to assembly line the sandbags in to try to save the rest of the hospital. Preston was on the inside and could see the water pressing against the windows.

Here is the same crew after the waters receded at a WWII vet that lost all his memorabilia in the floods as well as love letters and albums from his sweetheart. Prest said there are piles of stinky garbage in front of everyone's homes. Its smelling like a city dump.
